Review
Sibling Rivalry is a South End hotspot offering modern American fair
from gourmet brothers David and Bob Kinkead (hence, Sibling Rivalry).
The menu is truly creative, with each chef concocting competing entrees
and appetizers with similar themes. The themes vary from general beef,
chicken, or shellfish, to more specialized themes such as asparagus,
offal, or black beans. We attended with a group of six, and sampled
several items off the menu, including the Seared Sea Scallops, Rhode
Island Calamari, Simple Salad, Grilled Bone-In Lamb Steak, Garlicky
Shrimp, and the Beef Tartare. Everything was excellently received. The
flavors were enticing and all entrees were prepared well. The ambiance
was lively and jovial, as we were seating in a corner booth of the slick
and contemporary dining room. Service was excellent, as our waiter Fred
catered to our needs politely and at a perfect pace. The pricing falls
in line with comparable restaurants, with most appetizers in the $12
range and most entrees between $25 and $30. Altogether, it was a
wonderful dining experience. And if you're in the mood for a good
cocktail, do not pass on Sibling Rivalry's Blueberry Mojito. One of the
best drinks we've tried in a while. -Mike & Kim |
