Review
Oishii Boston is the upscale establishment of the highly regarded (but much more casual) Oishii Sushi Bar in Chestnut Hill.  Both are known to serve some of the most spectacular sushi in the area.  The atmosphere at Oishii Boston is modern, clean, and hip, with a simple black linear decor. The front dining room allows patrons to watch the chefs hard at work behind the sushi bar.  The menu focuses mostly on sushi, with an a la carte menu in addition to a limited offering of Japanese entrees and appetizers.  For appetizers, we started with the Miso Soup and Gyoza, both were impressive.  I also picked several different sushi and sashimi options off of the a la carte menu, and each were divine, including the Yellow Tail, Lobster Claw, and the Salmon Sashimi. The fine presentation was also quite remarkable.  Unfortunately, Kim opted for the Chicken Teriyaki, which she really disliked due to the fact that the little meat served on the bone was dark and very fatty.  Because of that, I'd stick to the sushi at Oishii.  The service was knowledgeable and polite, but a tad on the slow side.  The prices were in line with upscale sushi restaurants, and the a la carte menu basically lets you choose how much or how little you want to spend (individual items range from $3 to $10).  Parking can be found on the street, but due to the one way roads in the SoWa district its easy to get lost if you don't know the area.  Oishii Boston also offers valet parking.  To conclude, if you're looking for upscale sushi, Oishii Boston is the place to be.  If you're looking for a quick sushi fix in a more casual atmosphere and for a cheaper price tag, head on over to the Oishi Sushi Bar in Chestnut Hill off Route 9.  -Mike
